Alloy X is one of the most widely used nickel base super-alloys for gas turbine engine components. This solid solution strengthened grade has good strength and excellent oxidation resistance to 2000°F. Alloy X has excellent resistance to reducing and carburizing atmospheres, making it suitable for furnace components. Due to its high molybdenum content, Alloy X may be subject to catastrophic oxidation at 2200°F. Alloy X is welded by all common methods such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc, electron beam and resistance welding. Use matching filler metal, keep inter-pass temperature low. After severe forming, fabrications may be annealed 2150°F, 15 minutes per 1/8" of thickness, rapid air cool.

ZERON 100 (F55 Duplex / 25Cr Duplex) is a super duplex stainless steel for use in aggressive environments. ZERON 100 complies with UNS S32760, however, Rolled Alloys tightly controls the chemistry and production of ZERON 100 in strict accordance with the requirements of our in-house 'MDS' specifications which are tighter than standard ASTM specifications. This ensures a consistent quality product is produced with optimal corrosion resistance and charpy impact toughness

Its properties include:
Resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in warm seawater with a guaranteed corrosion performance (PREN > 40)
Lower more stable price compared to nickel based alloys
Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in both chloride and sour environments
Superior resistance to sulfuric acid at most concentrations
Improved resistance over austenitic stainless to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue
High Strength (80,000 psi minimum Yield Strength) permitting designs to reduce weight versus other corrosion resistant alloys
ZERON 100 was developed as a seawater resistant material for pump applications in the North Sea as a cast material. Its excellent performance, led to demand for the alloy in a wider range of product forms and the development of wrought product forms. The corrosion resistance and strength properties of ZERON 100 have led to its widespread adoption in a range of industries. Oil and gas applications include process, seawater, firewater and subsea pipework systems, with associated risers, manifolds, pressure vessels, valves and heat exchangers.
Applications
Pollution control equipment such as flue gas desulfurization equipment (FGD), pulp and paper, power generation, chemical, pharmaceutical, desalination, mining, metallurgical and marine industries.

601 plates Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy that is highly resistant to oxidation through 2200°F. 601 alloy develops a tightly adherent oxide scale which resists spalling even under severe thermal cycling. The alloy has good high temperature strength, and retains its ductility after long service exposure. 601 alloy has good hot corrosion resistance under oxidizing conditions. 601 alloy is not suggested for use in strongly reducing, sulfur bearing environments.
For maximum oxidation resistance, 601 alloy should be welded with matching composition 601 alloy GTAW wire. 601 alloy is more difficult to machine than 304 stainless steel. Its machinability rating is 15-21% relative to AISI B1112 steel.

AL-6XN (AL6XN / UNS N08367) Super-Austenitic Stainless Steel
AL-6XN alloy (UNS N08367) is a low carbon, high purity, nitrogen-bearing "super-austenitic" stainless alloy. The AL-6XN alloy was designed to be a seawater resistant material and has since been demonstrated to be resistant to a broad range of very corrosive environments. The high strength and corrosion resistance of the AL6XN alloy make it a better choice than the conventional duplex stainless steels and a cost effective alternative to more expensive nickel-base alloys where excellent formability, weld-ability, strength and corrosion resistance are essential.

Alloy 20 was designed specifically to withstand sulfuric acid. Its nickel, chromium, molybdenum and copper levels all provide excellent general corrosion resistance. Restricted carbon plus columbium stabilization permits welded fabrications to be used in corrosive environments, normally without post-weld heat treatment. At 33% nickel, Alloy 20 has practical immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking. This alloy is often chosen to solve SCC problems, which may occur with 316L stainless.
